A well-known events expert recently celebrated staging her 10th Business Expo. Sheila Smith, of Sheila Smith Sales


and Events, staged her first Northamptonshire Business Expo in 2014 and the event has become a firm fixture in the county’s business calendar. Its success inspired Sheila to begin delivering her Business Expos across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire and she kicked off a busy schedule of events for 2019 with a Business Expo in Buckinghamshire last month. Sheila said: “I organised the first


Northamptonshire Business Expo in 2014 because I wanted to help people to learn and implement new skills and strategies to grow their business. It’s a massive undertaking but inspired by the success of my Breakfast@Beckworth business networking group, the exhibition format was born. The feedback was so heartening that I have developed these events further and in 2019 I will stage expos in Buckinghamshire, Staffordshire, Oxfordshire, Lancashire and County Durham as well as Northamptonshire.”

PARK IS FLYING HIGH AS REFURB WORK CONTINUES


Work is continuing on a multi-million pound project to refurbish key areas of Kettering’s famous Wicksteed Park. In recent months, the park has restored the


Edwardian Pavilion building, created additional hard standing car parking areas, added a new entrance into its grand Pavilion and can now offer new meeting rooms. The venue is also getting ready to launch its


new Terrace Suite this year which is perfect for functions with up to 150 guests. Its full-length windows flood the venue with light and provide stunning parkland views. Head of sales and marketing
