Bootcamp launched to aid crowdfunding
A new programme to help companies raise money via equity crowdfunding campaigns has been launched by leading equity crowdfunding communications agency TribeFirst and global accounting and advisory company and Chamber member Grant Thornton. Called the Crowdfund Bootcamp,
it is designed to reduce the time it takes for companies to prepare and run their campaign. Crowdfund Bootcamp combines the best parts of an accelerator with a managed service, working with companies to plan, launch, market and run their campaign in as little as five weeks. Growth plans in full swing for Roythornes Solicitors
East Midlands law firm Roythornes Solicitors has announced the acquisition of Warrens Boyes & Archer, a long-standing Huntingdon legal practice. The acquisition is part of the
growth plans for Roythornes, with staff moving over from Warrens Boyes & Archer alongside lead partner Greg Archer. The 188-year-old firm will now
become part of the Roythornes brand – a top 200 national law firm – after being established in London in 1830 and based in Huntingdon for more than 70 years. Vember Mortlock, Managing
Director at Roythornes Solicitors, said: “We’re delighted to announce this acquisition deal. Warrens Boyes & Archer has an impressive client base due to the strong
relationships that Greg and his former partners have established as trusted advisers over many decades. “This acquisition forms part of

Principal Greg Archer, who has
been with Warrens Boyes & Archer for over 40 years, is planning to retire in the near future but will work from the Alconbury office as a consultant for the next five years. Greg said: “Roythornes is a

Law firm assists Premier’s MBO
The corporate team at Leicester law firm Spearing Waite has advised on the management buyout (MBO) of Premier Display. The MBO was led by joint owner
Jason Colman, who bought the business for an undisclosed sum with financial backing from HSBC, led by Elliott Watts. Premier Display, based at Mill
Lane Industrial Estate in Glenfield, makes bespoke exhibition stands for clients as diverse as Audi, Allergan, AEG Electrolux, Nikon and Timberland. The team at Spearing Waite was
led by Partner and Head of Corporate Group Martin Smith and included Corporate Associate Hannah Tessyman and Partner and Head of Employment, Andrew Rowell. Martin said: “We were delighted
