The PKF Cooper Parry pension audit team
Passion for pensions sets PKF up to grow
Chamber patron PKF Cooper Parry has been appointed as one of four UK firms to be on the audit panel of the PPF, which supports eligible pension schemes. Being appointed to the panel will
give PKF Cooper Parry the opportunity to work with some large brands and businesses, where the team’s work will have an impact on people’s lives and futures. For PKF Cooper Parry, it also
means extra revenue and further opportunity to grow its specialist pension team, helping to fulfil its mission of being the No.1 pension audit adviser in the Midlands. The business will also work with other auditors on the panel to share best accountancy practice. This success follows the
business’s wider audit team being recently named as the Audit Team of the Year at the British Accountancy Awards.
‘We have a team with a true passion for pensions’
Colin Shaw, Partner at PKF
Cooper Parry, who founded the Pensions Audit team over 25 years ago, said: “We have a team with a true passion for pensions, a specialist group of 20 people who spend their time working in this sector. With the PPF, we’re confident we’re going to hit the ground running.” Helen Scothern, Pensions Audit
Director at PKF Cooper Parry, said: “The appointment is a true testament to the fab work we do and our fantastic team. We’re all excited to be working with the PPF. I’m proud of the work we submitted during the tender process and felt it shows who we are, what we do and what makes Cooper Parry different.”
Engineering firm soars to top supplier accolade
Nottingham-based HSM Engineering, a fabrication specialist for a wide range of sectors, has been announced as the winner in the Excellence in the Supplier Performance category at the Midland Aerospace Alliance Awards. The Midlands Aerospace Alliance
was formed in 2003 to support and represent the aerospace industry across the Midlands region, an area that is home to one quarter of the UK’s aerospace industry. The award went to HSM Engineering in recognition of how the company’s performance has helped its aerospace business grow significantly in recent years. The company’s Rolls-Royce Fast
Make was referenced as a demonstration for how HSM
Engineering supports its customers through a rapid response service. Jason Thorpe (pictured), Managing Director of HSM Engineering, said: “We’re a proud British manufacturer which supplies not only the UK market, but exports to Europe and beyond. “It’s a fantastic recognition to the hard work and dedication of HSM.”
