THE SIBFORDIAN 2018

Celebrating core values! W

hen you’re lucky enough to have an orchard as part of your playground, hosting an annual Apple Day is a must!

Each September, Junior School pupils celebrate core values by holding a special charity apple extravaganza ... and 2017 was no exception!

Edward Rossiter, Head of Sibford Junior School explained: “The children use the bumper crop from the orchard to fund- raise. They sell refreshments such as Toffee Apples and Apple Cake and have games such as Apple Bobbing, Apple Bowling, Pin the stalk on the Apple and Apple Cricket!

“Parents, together with pupils from our Senior School, came along to support the event and we raised more than £400 which was split between World Horse Welfare, The Joseph Rowntree Foundation and The British Red Cross.”
