Associate Director’s Update

Tim Stevens G.L. Berg Entertainment After a whirlwind 2018 convention that included a record setting trade show, showcases, speak-

ers, roundtable and workshop sessions - and lots of food and fun, the Associate members of the Florida Federation are looking forward to working with the Fair members to help their events be the best they can be. But, before looking ahead, I want to send out a big Thank You to Kathy Ross from Ross Conces-

sions for serving as our Associate Director for the past two years. Kathy did a great job and her hard work is very much appreciated. Also – Thanks to Fran Crone, Trade Show Chair. Organizing a group of associates with lots of “personalities and opinions” is not always an easy task – but Fran handled it wonderfully! At our Saturday morning Associate Member meeting, various topics were discussed. One of the ideas suggested was

tweaking the convention schedule to add more dedicated time which would allow fair members a better chance to visit with the Trade Show vendors. That, along with other ideas, will be brought to the FFF Board. Before closing, I want to take a moment to remind everyone of something very important, especially all of our Associ-

ate Members that will be doing a lot of traveling all over the country. As my wife and I drove to Orlando from Wisconsin, and then back home, I was once again reminded of how many terrible drivers there are on our highways. That, along with tons of road construction, makes it more important than ever for you to be a safe and alert driver. Plan ahead, give yourself plenty of time – and Arrive Safely! Best Wishes to All!

Dave Meola and Tech-Tronics named 2018 Associate of the Year

Dave Meola with Tech Tronic Produc- tions was honored as the 2018 Associ- ate of the Year recipient. Dave has been involved in the Florida Federation of Fairs for many years and also works with individual Fairs in Florida. When you think of Dave Meola and the Tech Tronics team, you always think of quality service and immeasurable support. Not to mention cost ef- fectiveness and at times even donated services to the Federation and

our individual Fairs. They have never failed to step up to the plate when called upon always meeting or exceeding our expectations service wise, financially and technically. Not only do they run a top notch operation, but each and every individual involved with them is highly qualified in the jobs they do. Our Federation would not be able to do what we do without their services, so thank you and congratulations to Dave Meola with Tech-Tronics as the 2018 Florida Federation of Fairs Associate of the Year!
