Citrus County Fair 70 years By: Hal Porter, Manager The Citrus County Fair celebrated our 70th Anni-
versary March 26 - April 1st 2018. We had a good week overall. We had rain on Fri-
day evening and closed at 8pm. This hurt our bot- tom line, but other great days almost made up the difference.
Our Entertainment was enjoyed by all our patrons.
Entertainment included: Danny Grant, Oscar, Sally Ann, Tricky Dog Show, Chris Mabrey and the popu- lar Red Dragon Laser Tag Show. Local talent were also showcased.
Our contests were also a success & lots of fun. We had: Youth Public Speaking, Pie Eat- ing, Karaoke & a Cross Cut Saw Con- test. We enjoyed these contests and our pa- trons did too.
FOURTEEN BOARD MEMBERS (And the Fair Manager) attended the Annual Convention. Back: Doris Graska, Mar- cus Leturno, Hal Porter, Charlie Simmons, Paul McPher- son, Lee Earl Stokes, James Hiers. Front: Margie Leturno, Margaret Roddenberry, Debbie Parker, Holly Herndon, Kandi McPherson, Granada Gelin, Lisa White, Mary Hiers.
We had great fun and educational time at the Convention. Spending time with our other "Fair Family" is always a treat.
We had great participation in all are- as of our Competitive Exhibits. We were very proud of how these items looked upon display. Sure made out buildings look good. The Community Displays were also well received.
The Livestock Exhibits were also a success for the Youth. Our Shows and Sales were supported by our Community. We are so thankful to everyone who helps our Youth have a successful ends to their pro- jects.
Plans have started for the 2019 Belle City Amusements always provides a
Great Carnival for our Fair. We had specials all week including Dollar Night. Everyone enjoys the rides, games and "Fair Food."
