Mandells Gallery, norwich; and Wingfield Barns, eye. The Royal Academy Schools The Royal Academy Schools
is a school of contemporary fine art that offers up to 17 artists each year an opportunity to participate in an intense three year programme. Founded in 1768, the Royal Academy Schools provided a free place of study for painters and sculptors. This tradition has endured to the present day. Formerly the teaching and philosophy were academic. Artists such as William Blake, JMW Turner, John Constable and John everett Millais studied there and more recently, Richard hamilton, Anthony Caro and John hoyland. Today a small intake of carefully chosen students continue to benefit from a more contemporary education which continues to promote individuality and personal vision. Halesworth Gallery The halesworth Art Gallery Association was founded in 1966 by Jack and Sheila Arbuthnot with four other local
people, Mary Colby, Daniel Del-Rivo, Jennifer Dickson and Patrick Roberts and the Gallery celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2016. The objective was, and still is, to ‘exhibit modern painting and sculpture of the highest possible standard on a non-profit- making basis and for the general enjoyment of all; and, it is hoped, for the benefit of the artists since all works are for sale’. early exhibitors included elisabeth Frink, Felix Topolski, Mary Potter and Joseph herman. The Gallery occupies what used to be the town’s almhouses, and the age and beauty of the building is part of the halesworth Gallery’s appeal. The Gallery mainly shows the work of those artists who have a connection with east Anglia and a wide variety of changing exhibitions are held from April to September. halesworth Gallery, Steeple

heLLO Sweetie it’s me again. A year has flown by so swiftly My life was over when you left me behind I’m still waiting for the good Lord to call. To that beautiful smile That could shine for a mile And those wonderful ways That always completed my days. I’m jealous of the angels around you
As I sit here and recall Sixty wonderful years And struggle to fight back An ocean of tears. I don’t know what to do. YOU’Re nOT heRe. I thought we would always be together, I thought we could make time stand still. now I’m left with the words every day you should have heard. I’ve been heaven blessed I’ve been loved by the best. Save me a place.
God Bless B
