eMMA and Wayne Saunders took over the running of north- green Farm Shop on May 1st. The husband and wife team are familiar faces in the area as they own and run the hideout Café in halesworth and are now in their third year of business at the popular café. The two businesses work well together as the café bake fresh sausage rolls, scones and treats everyday so these are now avail- able to shoppers at northgreen Farm Shop – you don’t get more local and homemade that that! The take-over came about as a result of a chance conversation with one of the suppliers to the café. Philip Cook supplies eggs to the hideout Café and used to run northgreen Farm Shop with his wife Pauline. When he men- tioned that he was looking to pass the business on it didn’t take Wayne and emma long to decide that they would like to take it on. Wayne explains that they will look to continue offering a great selection of fresh fruit and veg- etables along with bread, cakes, dairy products, meat, fish and a whole assortment of store cup- board essentials. The aim here is to offer an alternative to trek- king in to town to a supermarket if you only need to pick up a few


bits. naturally, being surround- ed by superb producers, the team will look to stock as much local produce as possible. In addition to the food and drink there is a selection of animal feed, wild bird food as well as locally grown plants. It would be impossible to list everything you will find here but suffice to say, there is plenty of choice. The shop itself has a very wel- coming feel and this is matched by the friendly staff. emma and Wayne have been fortunate to inherit a passionate and knowl- edgeable team who are happy to help customers if they are look- ing for specific items and will always be on hand to help load large and bulky items. The hideout Cafe is popular with cyclists and is a favourite pitstop for cycle clubs looking for somewhere to stop for a bite to eat and fill their water bottles. The cafe also offer lunches for businesses in halesworth and supply catering in the local area for family gatherings, parties, wakes and all other occasions. Please call one of the team to discuss budget, dietary require- ments etc. Wayne and emma have plenty of ideas for the future and are always looking at ways of improving what they offer at


both the hideout Café and northgreen Farm Shop. They will always listen to comments and suggestions from their many loyal customers and if there is a specific product that someone would like stocked, then they will always look at getting it on the shelves. The couple are quick to high- light their great staff at both ven- ues. In fact, this year thehideout Café has been awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of excellence and this is down in no small part to the fantastic team. With the same enthusiasm and dedication at northgreen Farm Shop you can be assured the great business will continue to serve the community for many years to come.
