• Monday 8th January, Dunblane Civic Society’s first meeting of 2018 is at 7:30pm in the Braeport Centre. Katie Haddock will talk on “Mid India”. We are a friendly group and welcome new members and visitors. Why not start the New Year by coming along to the talk! Visitors’ admission is £2.
• Monday 8th January, Dunblane Cathedral Guild at 7.30pm in the Cathedral Hall. Antiques Roadshow when Gordon Foster will tell us about his time on TV and also have time to value your valuables. All welcome.
• Wednesday 10th January, Dunblane and District Gardening Club at 2pm Cathedral Halls. An entertaining talk by Alan Mackie on “The Ramblings of an old Drone”. Tea and mince pies to follow. A great start to the new year. Members and Visitors welcome.
• Sunday 14th January, Forth Valley Friends of Scottish Opera Scottish Opera’s production of Mark- Anthony Turnage’s 1988 opera Greek was well-reviewed at the Edinburgh Festival and it returns for two performances in Glasgow in February. Daisy Evans, the Revival Director, will tell us about it. 2.30 pm, Smith Art Gallery and Museum, Stirling. Entrance £5, free to students.
• Monday 15th January, Dunblane Cathedral Guild at 2pm in the Cathedral Hall Drop-In for scrabble, jigsaw making, card games and tea/coffee and fellowship. All welcome.
• Wednesday 17th January, Dunblane Accordion & Fiddle Club, 7.30pm in the Victoria Hall. Guests will be Robert Black’s Jim Johntone Tribute Band. All players, any instrument, warmly welcomed.
