Dunblane Centre Youth News
Welcome to 2018 at the Dunblane Centre, and what a year it is set to be! 2018 has been identifi ed as the Scottish Government’s Year of Young People - a year long celebration of young people’s talents, skills and abilities as well as recognising the contributions they make to the world around them. We’re proud supporters of YoYP2018 and will be hosting a number of extra events both large and small throughout the year, starting with our Burns Supper.
Family Burns Supper Saturday the 20th January
Everyone is welcome to join us for our annual Burns Supper. With performances from some of our hugely talented young people alongside a traditional supper, pipes and a taste of the traditional Burns speeches, our Burns Supper provides an ideal introduction to the world of Burns.
Tickets are £10 adult and £6 child. Pre-booking is essential.
Back in November (that seems so long ago) we held our P7 Sleepover: 60 young peopled in P7 joined us overnight with infl atables, movies, marshmallows and more. It all got a bit surreal when at 3am on Sunday morning I was sitting on an infl atable assault course shouting ‘Go!’ through a microphone, just another random part of my job! I’m not entirely sure anyone slept but I’m pretty certain everyone had an awesome time! I’d also like to say a massive thanks to the volunteers who gave up their sleep for the event. For those in S1 and above, keep a look out for our overnight event especially for them. More details coming soon.
