TTOLLO is the new name in lingerie, that specifically helps to

shape and flatter D+ women with cup size 28D‐34GG women. Launching in October 2017, the company, founded by D+ friends Alice Holden (OC, 2004 ‐ 2011) and Fleurette Mulcahy, will be offering a fabulous range of mix and match bras and knickers, available online from attollolingerie.com.

Fleurette and I met at King’s College London, where we were studying Geography. We instantly recognised our mutual vital statistics and realised that we represented a niche lingerie market that was almost completely neglected.

With our insatiable desire for D+ lingerie that was stylish, comfortable, uplifting, affordable, and didn’t resemble a beige over shoulder boulder holder, Attollo was founded in our final year at university. Since we felt that every other brand was succeeding in making us feel self conscious, dowdy and frumpy, we felt a brand co-founded and co- designed by customers was the answer!” With the emphasis on feeling confident, and luxurious, Attollo’s bras and knickers have been designed by personal experience - not idealised industry statistics, where one shape fits all. Following extensive research with potential customers, their complicated bra structures offer uniquely comfortable fit. Print patterns and lace - and even the underwire - are bespoke to Attollo, and all the products are made in Europe.

OCs The imprint Mayfield has left on Attollo is

too large for words. The impact is never forgotten, hence ‘Actions Not Words’ being one of Attollo’s three core values. Mayfield girls really do live and breathe that mantra too as proven by the overwhelming support that the OC network has shown. Not only through introductions, recommendations, but also through spreading the word

of Attollo.

This month our team grew from Fleurette and I to three; we have taken on our very first intern, Emmy Redman (OC, 2011-

2016). Bringing her passion for lingerie, fashion and business, mixed with her creative vision and ideas, she’s now an indispensable asset to Attollo who is bringing our brand to life more and more each day she works with us. As Emmy joined Mayfield in Year 9, the September

after I left after A Levels, we never crossed paths down the Mayfield corridors, but with huge thanks to the unbelievable Mayfield network, we now make a brilliant team and it feels like Emmy has been with us from the start!

Very kindly, Mayfield invited me to

attend the Charleston festival early in the summer. There I met with OC’s, mothers of

ATTOLLO UPDATE

There is a meaning behind every aspect of the brand; Attollo was named after it’s Latin (thanks to Mayfield Latin lessons!) meaning ‘I lift up, I raise, I excite’.

We created Attollo because we felt it was about time that D+ women had something special for everyday, that uplifted them, made them feel confident, supported and also stylish. We are unapologetically passionate about creating lingerie that D+ women feel confident in, afterall, all women deserve to.

Over the past 12 months, we’ve been overwhelmed with the press from Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Tatler which helped give us £15,000 of pre-launch reservations. We have completed production for our first range. We closed our second investment round, and now have not only a number of female investors but we also have an all female board of directors. After a year in our St James’ Park office with our investors, we now have an office in the beautiful Somerset House.

...THE MAYFIELD NETWORK REALLY IS AN UNBELIEVABLE FORCE AND IT HAS SUCH IMMENSE POWER TO CONNECT WOMEN, SHARING IDEAS

The Old Cornelian SUMMER 2017

OC’s and staff, among whom I met with Chantal Coady (Class of 1997)- a lady who I greatly admired without even knowing she was an OC as her company Rococo Chocolates has a brand that I’ve borderline stalked for ideas and inspiration! Giovanna Forte (Class of 1981), another brilliant OC - such an asset to the OC network introduced us to our marketing consultant who is now a firm part of our Attollo team. I cannot count the number of emails and messages I have received from old girls and staff

members who have contacted me about their bra issues seeking help, advice and a better solution to their boring beige ones!

The Mayfield network really is an unbelievable force and it has such immense power to connect women, sharing ideas, passions and visions for life. This, with the enormous support the staff at Mayfield show for OC’s is something Cornelia Connelly would have been immensely proud of and I feel hugely honoured and proud to be a Mayfield Girl.
