Bod&Belle

Bod & Belle is an equestrian inspired brand designed to appeal to everyone involved in the equestrian industry, whether they are spectating, riding or just enjoying the lifestyle. Bod & Belle sells clothing, accessories and artwork online.

The Back Story I have owned Bodie (my horse) for seven years and would

confidently say that he is as much a part of this company as I am. He is ‘Bod’ after all. Bodie and I left Mayfield together and moved to Cirencester in Gloucestershire to attend The Royal Agricultural University. We graduated in June

2016 with an Equine Business Degree. “

During my time at Cirencester I met a number of people involved in the country clothing industry who inspired me. Several alumni have gone on to create their own well known brands of country clothing. I have worked for Dubbary, and Fairfax and Favor at places like the Burghley Horse Trials and the Cheltenham Races. I also had an internship at Cordings in London. All of these companies sell high end country clothing and helped me to refine my ideas and give me some direction.

In the same way that Mayfield expects girls to develop their strengths and to think independently, the Royal Agricultural University encouraged leadership and enterprise and so Bod & Belle was born!

About

I started my business in April 2017 when I decided that my career needed to be flexible to allow me to continue eventing. It has been quite a steep learning curve, selecting the right products, keeping costs low, and making sure I don't order large quantities of items in the wrong size(!) Several members of the Mayfield equestrian squad have become brand ambassadors - Anna Hollis, Immy Long and Scarlett Vereker have been actively marketing the brand and products on social media, and also when they are out competing.

I am now working directly with manufacturers in the UK to develop my active wear range which has proven very popular with those on the eventing circuit. I plan to introduce some faux fur in the Autumn so keep an eye out for this! I also have a few prints available. These are taken from my own artwork which I am certain Miss Thackeray will be familiar with.

had a stand at the Michaelmas Fair this year and loved coming back and seeing everyone!
