Prize givings


We were honoured and delighted to welcome back four Old Cornelians, Janie Briggs (née La Coste, Class of 1965), Charlotte Pryor (née Bellamy, Class of 2004), Amelia Simmons (Class of 2006) and Emily Keefe (Class of 2003) to address the girls, staff, parents and Governors at our prize givings. It is incredibly important to us that the message given at prize giving is delivered from Cornelian to Cornelian and we are immensely grateful to all OCs who are happy to be involved in the school on these special occasions. How fortunate we are to have such passionate, engaging and loyal alumnae, we are so lucky that you continue to be such a positive influence in the life of the current school and we are so glad that you are all still very much Mayfield girls!


As these are school occasions we thought we would share some of the wise words that we hear!


Tennis Doubles


Before half term, Mrs Miller hosted the greatly anticipated Parent and Daughter Tennis Tournament. The Tournament gave parents and Old Cornelians the chance to team up with their daughters, friends, former tennis partners, as well as enabling the girls to play competitively.


The standard of tennis was impressive, and there were some highly competitive matches. The PE Department was impressed with the number of powerful serves, groundstrokes and volleys, which made it tricky to figure out who was going to make it through to the finals! We look forward to seeing more OCs next year!
