Amelia Gabriel - (Class of 2016)

I'm absolutely gutted to find myself already halfway through my English degree at Lincoln College, Oxford, because (with the exception of the occasional all-nighter in the library) I've loved every minute of it thus far and am so grateful for all the bizarre opportunities the past year and a half has thrown my way.

Back in January, I wrote an arrangement of Cyndi Lauper's 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun', which I recorded with my wonderful a capella group 'The Oxford Belles'. The video, which we released for International Women's Day and features advice that leading female academics at the university would give to their younger selves, somehow took off on social media.

To date, it has over 200k views on Facebook and YouTube combined and was shared by Ashton Kutcher, Countdown's Rachel Riley, and Cyndi herself, which was a surreal Facebook notification to wake up to!

Next for me is spending my summer performing a new musical around the country (and being paid! For theatre! The dream!). The show is called 'The Marriage of Kim K', and is a weird and wonderful rewrite of Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro.

Maeve Vickers McGrath - (néeMcGrath - Class of1961)

I have lived in Denver since 1970 and in Vail, Colorado as well since 1986. I have one daughter who lives next door with her husband and my two grandchildren. Although I sold my art consulting

company in 2008 and I have tried repeatedly since then to retire completely, I still have not achieved that goal. I am expecting to do so later this summer. My husband and I have spent part of the summers for the past 30+ years in British Columbia, Canada.

32 The Old Cornelian SUMMER 2017 I completed my 20th helicopter ski trip in

British Columbia last year. This past winter I travelled to Switzerland to visit my brother and to Munich where I used to work and recently travelled throughout Peru, as well as Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand and have a trip planned to India. I have not been to England in 15 years, but plan to do so next year. I very much look forward to visiting Mayfield.

It's about reality television, high and low art, squabbling couples, and blends operatic, electronic, musical theatre, and pop music. We're touring to Oxford, Manchester, Birmingham, Buxton, and Edinburgh, and also have a week-long run and the Arcola Theatre in London at the end of July. Here's to hoping my new pal Ashton comes to watch?!?!
