Mohegan Sun Exposition Center Crosses Construction Milestone


Uncasville,­CT­–­Leaders­of­Mohegan­Sun­and­the­Mohegan­Tribe­gathered for­a­ceremonial­topping-off­to­celebrate­the­progress­of­Mohegan­Sun’s­latest expansion­project,­scheduled­for­a­June­2018­opening,­that­will­extend employment,­tourism­and­revenues­in­Southeastern­Connecticut.­In­total,­the new­Exposition­Center­will­stretch­240,000­net­square­feet­and­highlighted features­include­a­20,000-square­foot­ballroom,­expansive­pre-function­space, a­132,000-square­foot­Expo­Center,­15­meeting­rooms,­and­3,600-square feet­of­outdoor­gathering­space­that­includes­a­wraparound­terrace.


As­the­$80­million­project­nears­its­completion,­interior­finishes­will­incorporate­the­Mohegan­Tribe’s­cultural history­into­the­Mohegan­Sun’s­Expo­Center,­as­can­be­seen­throughout­the­rest­of­the­property.
