The region’s newest museum, the Museum of the American Revolution, takes visitors on a journey through the story of the founding of the United States through exhibition galleries, theaters and a distinguished collection of original arti- facts within this 118,000-square foot facility. More than just a cultural center, it also serves as a one-of-a-kind backdrop for special events.

Event spaces at the Museum of the American Revolution include its lobby, the Lenfest Myers Main Theater, and the Special Exhibition Space. The Grand Staircase is its most distinctive architec- tural feature and provides a dramatic pathway to the museum’s exhibition gal- leries. The Patriots Gallery showcases short-term exhibitions, but when not in use for this purpose, the 5,000-square foot space is available for facility rentals.

The Oneida Indian Nation Atrium at the Museum of the American Revolution offers space for cocktail receptions on the main level of the exhibits for up to 100 guests. An add-on for events is to include an exhibit experience for guests, suich as the full-scale replica of Boston’s Liberty Tree; the Battlefield Theater, where visi- tors are placed on the Continental Army’s front lines to face an attack by British sol- diers; and a full-scale replica of a priva- teer ship that went to sea to challenge the British Navy. A highlight in the experi- ence is a dynamic theater that houses one of the most iconic surviving artifacts of the Revolution - General George Washington’s Headquarters Tent.
