What a corking competition awaits us following record-breaking entries to this year’s UK Pool & Spa Awards 2017.

This year’s all-industry competition features entrants from both the UK and overseas in more than 30 hotly-contested categories that cover all aspects of water leisure provision. The competition recognises stand-out companies involved in the delivery of swimming pools, spas and wellness at home and in commercial venues from schools to health clubs and from holiday parks to leisure centres.

Public voting is now open as each entry is

independently assessed by a panel of judges. Then fi nally, the results will be scrutinised by an independent jury before the fi nal decisions are made. Every entry is assessed as either a gold, silver or bronze certifi cated standard with category winners receiving a trophy.

More information on this year’s competition are inside this packed October edition where we also investigate the thriving refurbishment and renovation sector. Don’t miss the lure of stainless steel pools in our On Trend feature and enjoy some Thrills and Spills as we look at water play features that offer tired pools the wow factor!

Look out also, for exclusive information on a new pool showroom that is raising the industry bar, a prestigious twin pool complex and an outstanding natural pool project.

We hope you enjoy this packed issue of Swimming Pool Scene, almost as much as the team enjoying putting it together for you….
