Going Out - Page 48 Find out what the stars have in store for you

Aries: Frustration leads to you taking things into your own hands and ploughing on with things regardless of those around you. This cannot go on forever - at some point things need to be addressed and weakness and failings pointed out.

Taurus: Don't worry if someone doesn't respond straight away to a text or email. I know that it is frustrating but you know that you have done the same when busy with other things. If it's that important pick up the phone and ask directly.

Gemini: Before you make a decision look at who is influencing you and why. Make sure that your mind is not being swayed to suit their best interests over your own. Once you have looked at all of the angles you will have no problem deciding what to do.

Cancer: Although you should not be overly worried you can't help feeling a niggling worry about having confided in someone. There really does not seem to be any reason for this feeling but it might be a lesson for the future to keep things to yourself.

Leo: Beauty is more than the stereotypes and you really should know this by now. Loving yourself is more important than anything else and you really do need to stop being so hard on yourself. Once you learn this, you will be so much happier.

Virgo: You need to inject a bit more humour into things otherwise others will start to avoid being around you as much. That doesn't mean to say you have to act the clown, just lighten up a little and stop being so serious about everything.

Libra: If things are not flowing

smoothly then maybe you need to take a long hard look and see if they were meant to be in the first place. Make changes otherwise they will only get worse and you will find it harder the more time passes.

Scorpio: A new approach to the way things are done is causing issues in the work place. Persevere as you know that once everyone gets used to it then it will be seen as a great step forward and will make things better for everyone.

Sagittarius: You are all given a choice of how to move forward and it is one of the hardest decisions you will have to make as a team. There is no right or wrong choice but it will impact everyone for a long time so choose wisely.

Capricorn: You cannot take your eye off the ball otherwise everything will start to unravel before you can do anything about it. Bring someone you trust on board to try and share the task or you will not make it through summer without problems.

Aquarius: Stop worrying about what is going on in situations you have no control over. Use your energies to better the things you can. But first take a break, get away, turn off the phone. You do need it even though you may not feel like it.

Pisces: Stop thinking that you have to have the best and biggest and latest and fastest to be happy. You know that these things are superficial and the important things are family and friends. Spend time on them rather than money on 'stuff'.

The English Choir

The English Choir of Teulada- Moraira have had a very busy and successful year so far.

The season ended with the choir taking a very full part in the town’s Moors and Christian Fiesta. The president of the choir, Sue Elles, said that they were delighted and indeed honoured to be asked to participate in such an important event for the fourth year running. The choir opened the fiesta with

a concert in the beautiful parish church located in the centre of Moraira. It was a very varied programme, commencing with excerpts from “Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat” and Karl Jenkins “Adiemus” accompanied by flute and drum solos. Continuing with Abba favourites some Spanish traditional songs and ending with a stirring rendition of Les Miserable’s after which the packed audience rose to its feet in a standing ovation. The following Saturday saw the choir singing from the ramparts of Moraira castle as backing for the very exciting re-enactment battle depicting the Moors expulsion from Spain.

After a well earned summer break the choir will return to their rehearsal room in Teulada with renewed vigour. An exciting autumn/winter programme is planned which includes a concert in aid of the Anglican Chaplaincy’s charitable causes and entertainment for the Alzheimer’s day centre members. The choir’s own, ever popular, autumn concert will take place in November - it is entitled “A Little Light l Music ”and will include some of the fun numbers of Sullivan, Sondheim and Sting. Verdi and Bizet also feature, as do excerpts from “The Phantom of the Opera” “The Merry Widow” and “Fiddler on the Roof”. Sounds like a marvellous evening with something for everybody! The choir also plan Christmas concerts and sing-along in December.

If you require further information about future events or if you would like to talk about joining the choir please phone Judith on 634 348 915 or 96 648 0195. Or check out their Facebook page www.facebook.com/englishchoirteulada.
