CJT Home Care Services

Claire Tutton is “CJT Home Care Services” and now operates her very specialist home nursing services in the general area of Jávea and surrounding villages.

After her initial training in the Stratton Geriatric Hospital, attached to Swindon General Hospital in Wiltshire, she set about researching the services provided to the elderly in their own homes. What struck her was that the operators who provided these types of services had very rigid structures that left clients with little choice but to accept what was on offer.

So in 2007 she established CJT Home Care Services as a business that filled the gap by providing individual attention to meet the needs of each client on a One to One basis. This guaranteed that other than when Claire was ill or on holiday it was her and only her who provided the client with individual care. On such occasions she organised relief services of care. The business covered an area between Burford and Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds. These special services allowed her to support

only as many as six or seven clients at a time but enabled each of them to enjoy living comfortably at home with an assortment of disabilities.

3 years later the demands of a very special group of only four clients were keeping Claire fully employed. Since then two of these clients with very serious conditions, one a paraplegic having suffered two strokes, as well as being a diabetic, the other being very elderly and confined to the house, have enjoyed love and caring to enable them to live at home as opposed to being sent to a care home to spend the last years of their lives. These clients have not been deserted as Claire had been grooming a very able district nurse, disenchanted by the bureaucracy of the NHS systems being imposed, to step into her role and continue the One to One attention they needed.

Now Claire and her daughter Maria live in Jávea and Maria will be starting her last two years of schooling here in September.

Claire has had to specialise in all aspects of stroke care, catheter care, leg ulcer care, diabetic care, Alzheimer’s and Dementia care. Her services support clients with any of these conditions to live more comfortably in their own home. She is very supportive in every role including personal care, such as bathing and dressing, taking clients to visit doctors or hospital, as well as personal trips to shops and hairdressers. Attention to the management of medication is also a very important aspect of her service to those clients who suffer from either Alzheimer’s or Dementia.

Claire believes she serves her clients in a unique and all embracing way which radically improves their lives at a time when circumstances seem to be against them.

She intends to deliver all these services to a new set of clients here in the area of Jávea and can be contacted on 674 534 636 or at her email clairejtutton@gmail.com.
