How can you make your garden a happy and healthy place for bees?

❤ Don't put nasty chemicals on your plants – these are often poisonous to bees. Try putting ladybirds on your plants instead to eat the nasty bugs that stop your plants from growing.

❤ Plant in groups – bees work very hard so help them out by planting lots of colourful fl owers close together. Once the bees have found your garden they will tell their friends who will also come to visit.

❤ All year round fl owers – you don’t want the bees to go hungry. Make sure you ask your garden centre what plants fl ower all year round to off er food to bees not just in the summer months.

❤ 'Bee' colourful – bees can only see certain kinds of fl owers and really like blue as it appears extra bright to them. Herbs like lavender, thyme and mint are also very attractive to bees and great in the kitchen too.

Bees' favourite plants:

❤ Lavender ❤ Chives ❤ Rosemary ❤ Thyme ❤ Poppies ❤ Foxgloves ❤ Honeysuckle ❤ Everlasting Sweet Pea ❤ Apple Tree Blossom
