Welcome FOODLOVERS

One issue in and we're already diving head-fi rst into summer - I hope you all enjoyed my fi rst issue and are excited to tuck in once again!

Although the weatherman might be saying otherwise, we are approaching the

summer season where fruit and vegetables are fresh, vibrant and in abundance. Farmers have had a hard time of late with such dry conditions but they have worked hard to provide a bursting bounty of summer produce.

We're starting this issue with a healthy approach, looking at how simple it is

to cook delicious tasting food using seasonal, fresh, nutrient-packed ingredients. Why not try supersizing your salads this summer with an A-Z introduction to superfoods (p12) as well as a guide to the continued trend of spiralizing (p16).

We also whisk you off on a culinary tour around the Mediterranean where we explore delicious fi sh recipes inspired by the region's diverse cuisines (p24),

whilst also looking at the classic sauces that have shaped Mediterranean cooking. It wouldn't be a trip to the Med without pizza, so why not get to grips with the perfect pizza dough, or push the boat out and try one of our alternative pizza bases.

Strawberries, peas and sea bass are on the seasonal menu in Field to Plate (p35), with mackerel and radishes in prime season too. Learn how to make

perfect strawberry jam, try our fi ve alternative ways with peas or head to the beach with our tips on barbecuing sea bass.

In amongst delicious dishes and recipe inspiration we have a guide to getting out and about on a summer foodie break (p50) and with a little wet weather inevitable, follow our rainy day guide to keep you occupied come rain or shine.
