Training in progress, with C.T.S.

There will be a choice of recreational facilities, offering wider opport- unities for people to enjoy life, try new things and develop new skills. This will include: • Outdoor pitches and a gym. • A new care home, including NHS comm- issioned beds, and a hub for out-patient services, as well as assisted dwellings where people who need care and support are looked after. • A centre for vocational education and training,

offering high-quality courses, apprenticeships and qualifications in the skills needed by employers and residents alike. Halesworth is crying out for better facilities, accessible health and care, sports and recreation, education and training, and good jobs. The Campus will play an important part in helping build local capacity, flexibility and resilience to help us face the challenges that lie ahead. It will provide a focus for townspeople to come together. And it will

serve the needs and aspirations of a wide circle of other villages and communities, some 20,000 residents in all.

In the longer term,

following further fund raising, we hope still

to

build a swimming pool and further sports facilities. The Campus Project has

brought together a number of organisations from the voluntary, not-for-profit, private and public sectors, working collaboratively and with real commitment to the local area.

Halesworth Health, Castlemeadow Care, Pulse Fitness, sentinelleisuretrust, & Constructiontraining specialists, with expert support from Mike Haslam, former head of planning for south Norfolk District Council, edward Hare, Chair of Aylsham Care trust, and David Gallagher, former Director of leisure services atwaveney District Council (all three in a voluntary capacity).
