three multi-purpose activity rooms, a sports hall, play frame, soft play zone, outdoor area, DL Kids cafébar and lounge, providing children aged 0-11 years with a range of programmes running throughout the year specifically designed to complement the way they learn. New exercise advice needed for children


New exercise advice is needed to protect children from developing heart problems in adulthood, according to research conducted as part of a European Commission- sponsored project. Published in the BMC


Medicine journal, the research, which studied 3,000 children, found those under 10 should get between 60 and 85 minutes’ exercise each day. The research observed


links between levels of activity among young children and the risk of developing cardiovascular disease when they reach adulthood. Of those studied, 15 per cent had high


blood pressure and cholesterol levels, which suggested they could be at risk. The study also
