ASM; Since you returned from China, we have heard various reports about you hang- ing your boot. Some have suggested you will be playing in America, what’s the truth?

MK; I always wanted to play football until my body says it’s enough. But for now I am looking at options and I will definitely let you guys know what I opt for soon.

ASM; You have been engaged with your club FC Kallon off late, is this a sign you are poised to take over full management position?

MK; My main aim is to strengthen the club from within, running a football club is a very delicate and demanding business. So I really want to help them do this in a productive manner. I also want to help the young and upcoming footballers to grow more and ex- pand their horizon by teaching them about my experiences and giving them some valuable advices on how to advance their potential in the game.

ASM; About two years ago you launched your book, “The Gem of Sierra Leone”. How did people receive it?

MK; I felt a desire to sell my story three years ago and that inspired me to publish a book. The publication which reflects the story of my experience and career was well received by many and some have told me that they truly enjoyed reading it. Years from now, people will be able to read the book as a reference point for themselves.

ASM; What will you always remember as a highlight and also a sad moment in your career?

MK; I have been through lots of splendid moment but the goal that I scored for Sierra Leone that made me the youngest scorer then in an international match ranks high for me my saddest moment was the nandrolone drug accusation, it was very frustrating and that is my biggest disappointment in my whole career.

ASM; Why have your team FC Kallon been helping lots of Sierra Leonean youngsters playing in Europe and elsewhere.

MK; The simple reason is that having many Sierra Leonean players in the profes- sional and competitive leagues of Europe will greatly help Sierra Leone football. There is a clear need for our players to get more exposure and any benefit they acquire abroad will impact back home. We also think that this will help our national team, Leone Stars because the more European based players we get, the more competitive and stronger a national team selection will become.
