African Sports Monthly (ASM) Were there moments that you had doubts about your football career?
MK; Yes, I had doubts because like I said it was never easy and going through difficulties, but I was not preoccupied with getting rich or being the world’s best footballer, all I wanted was to become successful footballer in my own way and many other footballers and sportsmen who have excelled have gone through similar feelings.
ASM; You have reportedly been in- vesting money and expanding your business, do you think you can be a good businessman?
MK; I have been investing money in business for over ten years now, and this is because I feel I need to invest in my country and help create employment for my fellow countrymen. I always wanted to be occupied when I finally gave up football and business is just that occupation for me.
ASM; There have been local media reports of you encountering problems in your business, is that true?
MK; to some extent, they are spot on. I have faced some stumbling blocks in my busi- ness simply because I’m not a natural business man I’m a footballer just trying to en- ter into the business field. Some people come around you just to rip you off, but now I am getting to understand how to deal with them better.
