But not so for black players in Europe where racial taunting is at an all time high, to an extent that the head of FIFA Sepp Blatter recently made a world a world class faux Pas suggesting that a racial taunt from one player to another on the pitch (most commonly a white to a black player) should be settled by a handshake on the pitch.

Sepp Blatter’s comments generated a massive storm of condemnation that even had some asking that he stepped down from his role as the leader of FIFA; the World’s governing body of the most popular sport in the world. FIFA as an organization is all encompassing as it boasts of membership of over 200+ countries of all races, creed and sex around the world, so for Blatter to make such a comment was very insulting and offensive to all member organizations with populations that are predominantly black, Asian or aboriginal.
