Celebrated Engineering Company Lola Advancing Renewable Energy Sector
Legendary racing car engineering company Lola is commencing work on innovative developments in the renewable energy sector. A globally recognised supplier of advanced technological solutions, Lola is investing significant technical expertise to progress the renewable energy market and find cutting edge improvements in the pursuit for reliable, efficient alternative sources of energy. High-tech facilities, honed through over 50 years of competitive motor racing, are now being used to bring cutting edge solutions to the tidal; wind; hydro-electric and even solar energy markets.
Advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), created to shave seconds off the lap times of Lola’s racing cars, enable renewable energy structures to be tested and attuned far more efficiently than is currently possible in the marketplace. The company’s on-site wind tunnel provides an excellent testing area for wind, tidal and hydro-electric structures, and, by accurately replicating natural conditions, enables designs to immediately be assessed and improved.
