NuVo Technologies

Starting with interchangeable zone amplifier options, the P100 (40W) and P200 (120W) players, the NuVo Wireless System is said to combine high fidelity and lossless audio with a quick, straightforward installation and considerable listening variety. It is built a zone at a time to fit a

Flexible room control FSR

US manufacturer FSR is presenting T6-Flex, a room control system and table box combined. Designed for classrooms, boardrooms, training facilities and municipal meeting spaces, FSR’s T6-Flex merges its easy-to-program room control system with its T6 table box to provide easy access to a full range of AV equipment. From a touchscreen integrated within the cover of the table box, users are able to remotely change the volume, turn lights on and off, and raise or lower the shades or screen.

FSR is also showing a range of

iPad accessories: the iPad holder and the PoE to USB module. The holder mounts to a stan- dard 2-gang wall box and provides a safe and secure method to mount the tablet to a wall in either land- scape or portrait mode. Available with or without access to the home button and camera, it has curved edges with no visible hardware and

is available in white, silver or black. The PoE to USB module is a

sensible tool for charging the iPad, the manufacturer says. The module meets the Apple iPad charging standards and can be used stand- alone, with a table box, or with the iPad holder. It fits easily inside the 2-gang box behind the iPad mount for a clean installation. FSR is also showing AV table

The US-headquartered manufac- turer Elite Screens is presenting its Lunette A4K projection screen and Insta-DE2 wall covering material.

Elite Screens’ Lunette A4K is a

curved-frame projection screen that uses the manufacturer’s latest and most refined acoustically transparent projection material. It is said to wrap the viewer in a vivid image, providing direct and off-axis luminescence and high- quality colour uniformity. Sound pierces through the mate- rial with a minimal attenuation while presenting a high-resolution 4K (4096 x 2160 pixel ratio) image.

The thinking behind this product, according to Elite, was to produce it in the most commonly requested sizes, which has allowed the com- pany to keep costs down and make more units readily available. Also on show is Elite’s Insta-

DE2 wall covering material, which instantly converts walls into a pro- fessional dry-erase whiteboard/ projection screen surface. Intended for use with either standard or short-throw projectors, the prod- uct has a diffusion layer that elim- inates glare while providing a wide viewing angle; it is the manufac- turer’s low-cost solution for a whiteboard and drop-down pro- jection screen in one. homeowner’s precise needs, while leaving potential for sim- ple additions. Each of the players is its own source device, delivering stream- ing internet radio and ready access to all audio content on a home’s network (MP3, WMA, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, WAV), as well as line level and USB inputs for external sources. User-friendly navigation is enabled through Apple and Android control apps. Stand: 5-R86

Rave reviews for latest SI software D-Tools

Drawing ‘overwhelmingly positive’ reviews from users and commentators, SIX – the latest version of D-Tools’ Sys- tem Integrator software – is now shipping. The software has been

reworked to increase effi- ciency and productivity for integrators of low-voltage sys- tems. SIX makes use of D-Tools’ expanded Cloud infrastructure to deliver high- quality equipment data, pro- vide partners with direct marketing services and estab- lish the foundation for future mobile and web-based appli- cations. System Integrator, says

D-Tools, is currently used by more than 4,400 integration companies to streamline the design, estimation and docu- mentation processes associated with the installation and inte- gration of AV, energy/lighting and security systems. Pat Molettieri, from Xtreme Audio & Video, appraised the new release: “After working with SIX, it has cut down my proposal generation time by about 25- 30% giving me more time to concentrate on other parts of my business.” Diamond Technology’s Miguel Soto was similarly effusive: “Some of the key new features... have allowed us to reduce a considerable amount of time in proposal generation and design for our clients.”

First showing of Mediasite 6.1 Projector range beams Sonic Foundry

Enhancements to the company’s Mediasite EX webcasting and video content management sys- tem have been made by Sonic Foundry with the introduction of the 6.1 family of features. The 6.1 version provides more control and flexibility for univer- sities, automatically processing not only the video but its associ- ated metadata through powerful search and analytics, making rich

video as useful as text. Mediasite users can record and upload rich media presen- tations, learning objects or training modules from their desktop or laptop and automat- ically publish them to the Medi- asite EX platform.

The 6.1 family of features

includes a user-generated con- tent module that allows instruc- tors, staff and students to easily create, upload, edit, share and manage rich video presenta- tions wherever they are through the new My Mediasite and Mediasite Desktop Recorder. Content approval workflows

ensure that user-generated con- tent is quality-controlled. Authorised users can review, comment, edit and approve video before it’s published. The web-based Mediasite Editor allows users to edit their rich video from any Mac or PC, while media import of MP4s, along with Windows Media Video, lets uploaded content take advantage of Mediasite’s search, analytics and security. Centralised recorder updates allow administrators to auto- matically download and apply updates to recorders remotely. Stand: 2-C75

into the (near) future Vivitek Corporation

A newly updated line of large- venue, education and multimedia projectors from Vivitek includes the freshly-launched D7180HD, which combines ultra-short-throw technology with a Full HD picture. The projector requires zero pro- jection distance, making it suitable for use in smaller boardrooms, where projection distance might otherwise be an issue. Brightness of 3,400 lumens and 1080p Full HD resolution enable crystal clear pic- tures, while presentations, pictures

and spreadsheets can be shown in crisp detail – and up to a size of 220-250cm.

The Vivitek D7180HD features a six-segment colour wheel as well as DLP BrilliantColor technology. The projector can be integrated into corporate networks, with the IT administration benefiting from the machine’s system administra- tion capability via RJ45. A broad range of connectivity ports include HDMI, VGA-In/-Out, DVI-D and USB, while the projector’s top loading capabilities make lamp replacement straightforward. Stand: 4-S70
