Epson announces the TM­T88V­DT – a unique integrated terminal hub and thermal receipt printer. The TM­T88V­DT is designed specifically for web­based environments, making it ideal for retailers using cloud services. Helping to streamline operations, the TM­T88V­DT can control peripherals including scanners, customer displays and cash drawers, through the web, with no need for additional drivers. POS applications and databases can be backed up using the TM­T88V­DT’s local storage, meaning that if there is a problem with the network, sales won’t stop.

A Manchester firm has launched a ground­breaking cashflow finance business aimed at relieving some of the short­term financial pressures suffered by North West SME’s. Ashley Business Cash Limited has been formed to provide businesses in retail with cash injections of up to £25,000 based on future sales. The company, which is a subsidiary of Ultimate Finance Group PLC, provides lump sums – or cash advances – based on a retailer’s future revenue. Customers then make repayments through debit and credit card sales, typically over a 6­month period, using the business’s existing PDQ terminal.

Neptune, the furniture wholesaler has specified SikaBond AT­80 for its Swindon head office and showroom. The unique elastic hybrid adhesive, which has been developed to achieve full surface bonding on all timber floors, has been used to help install elegant oak flooring in Neptune’s new office and showroom. A key part of the design for the two new floors was the use of quality oak flooring supplied by Neptune. SikaBond AT­80 was recommended as the most appropriate adhesive to install the boards.
