Karl Lagerfeld has revealed its new store concept, which has been developed under the creative leadership of the designer. The concept seeks to play with iconic compositions inspired by the visions of the designer. Black, white, mirrors and walls of light will form the backdrop of the distinctive product presentation. Paris will see the first store with this


new concept, with a planned opening in February 2013. This investment in a


physical retail space is positive news for the retail industry, and reveals a confidence in the sector. Pier Paolo Righi, CEO KARL LAGERFELD believes that this will be a positive move for the brand; “The development of a strong retail portfolio is a key element of our strategy Karl Lagerfeld. I’m extremely excited that the first store will open in a location that is so close to the man himself and the core of our brand.”

The Maxim Creative Group has been working on an exciting new store concept, Inside Track, alongside Brand& Ltd. Inside Track is a store dedicated to two of the world’s leading motorsport brands, McLaren and Aston Martin Racing, which has opened this month at Westfield Stratford. The retail outfit comprises 2,000sq ft of space with a centrepiece of the store being the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4­ 26 F1, which is set to be a really popular draw for visitors who get to see the racecar up close. The Maxim Creative Group was responsible for the entire store fit­out from start to finish. A 20­strong team developed the Inside Track brand identity, created the store design concepts, manufactured all elements of the store at its Manchester facility and completed the installation and store fit­out on site. Commenting on the project,


Michael McVey, Director of The Maxim Creative Group, said: “This is such an exciting project to be part of. In McLaren and Aston Martin, Brand& Ltd work with two of the leading brands in their field, so we really enjoyed putting together a retail outlet to showcase their product offering”.
