In order to ensure that customers are interested in the products on offer, it is important for display systems to stand out and attract attention. This can be done using anything from bright colours to innovative technology to make an impact. If a retailer is plugging what they believe to be an incredible product, then they are going to want incredible displays to boot. There are a number of new trends
emerging in the display systems sector, and the development of LEDs in particular has helped to open up an entire new avenue. Visplay are a company that has really been investing in the use of LEDs to create a theatrical structure for product displays. Visplay has developed display systems that use light exactly where it is needed – on the merchandise. The team loves this approach as direct lighting prevents shadow zones on the merchandise and ceiling lighting can be reduced. Products are likely to attract the highest possible levels of attention, especially where lower levels of light are used in the rest of the store, as customers as eyes will be drawn towards the light. The Invisible 6 P/L horizontal support system that Visplay has put together offers all the advantages of an electrically powered display system and is ideal for universal use in the nonfood sector. The power rail and holding technology for the merchandise supports are cleverly concealed so as not to distract from the aesthetic appeal. For added benefits, integrated lighting and Label Light sign holders can simply be inserted anywhere along the profile without tools or complicated installation procedures. Renowned lighting and furniture

the perfect retail display. He has used several innovative display and lighting solutions, designed and manufactured by Unibox and sister company Lumenal, to help create the perfect setting for his inspiring retail destination at Portobello Dock, London. The project has seen a combination
of reconfigured Unibox systems and new Lumenal solutions coming together to showcase Tom Dixon’s lighting and furniture range, as well as an exclusive collection of items from international designers. A selection of bespoke Unibox and
Lumenal solutions were originally used to fitout the Tom Dixon shop back in 2010, successfully creating a discrete display system that complimented the store’s brickvaulted Victorian warehouse setting. Looking to refresh
his displays, Tom Dixon used original Unibox glass and aluminium shelving that was reconfigured to accommodate his new stock. Original Unibox modular shelving units were also ‘reskinned’ with a simple matt black finish to optimise the appearance of textured and stylised products on display. Four new Lumenal LED cabinet lights called ‘Trio’ were also incorporated into a
