Green Board Games has lots of products in store for spring/summer 2012. Spearheading the new range are three Horrible Histories BrainBoxes; BrainBox Vile Villains, BrainBox Awesome Ancients and BrainBox Ruthless Romans. All games will be dual-branded Horrible Histories and BrainBox. Horrible Histories books have sold
over 20 million copies worldwide and the brand has now become a multi- award winning TV series. Following this success, a spin-off quiz show, Horrible Histories Gory Games, is currently being aired on CBBC.

Moving into its third year on shelves, the Minifigures range will see two unique launches throughout the first half of 2012. The number one toy product (NPD YTD July 2011) is the only product offered by the company under £2 and offers characters that are unique to a particular series that have never been produced and never will be again. The partnership between Lego and DC Comics and Marvel, 2012 will see the unveiling of Batman, Superman, Spider- man and The Avengers lines. Lego Super Heroes is a brand new range of conflict play theme sets and buildable action figures that offer iconic characters and scenes from both the DC and Marvel super hero universe. Each of the play theme sets contains unique minifigures to drive collectability and within each of the larger DC play theme sets is a Lego comic book. A selection of products will be launched between January-April 2012 pre-empting the releases of The Avengers and Batman The Dark Knight Rises. Lego City will add new play themes including Forest Fire and Police, Mining and a brand new Great Vehicles concept. New IP Lego Dino is designed to satisfy four to seven year-old boys who have a love of dinosaurs and enjoy dramatic play. The range boasts specially moulded, buildable dinosaur figures. Ninjago will continue to offer two distinct play patterns: play theme and spinners. As the first Lego franchise to contain a number of highly successful play models, 2012 will see the ninja storyline develop even further. Hero Factory will see the addition of
more characters and improved versions of favourite models. The buildable action figures empower children to build their own heroes and immerse them into role-play scenarios. Lego Games offers children and families the opportunity to build, change and play the games. Each board is customisable and March 2012 will see

the unveiling of four new games. Kickadoo, Mini-Taurus (based on the award-winning Minotaurus) and two new games based on existing product in the Lego portfolio – City Alarm and Star Wars The Battle of Hoth. Technic is a classic evergreen that caters for the slightly older boy delivering some of the most iconic real- life vehicles with authentic features and functions. Spring/summer 2012 will see the introduction of more power items to offer a challenging, highly detailed and versatile building system. In 2012 the Lego Star Wars universe will expand, introducing novelties and redesigned best sellers produced to support demand from an existing collector-base while recruiting new fans to drive sales. Children can continue to collect buildable versions of their favourite Cars 2 characters into 2012. Cars 2 themed construction sets will be available in both Lego and Lego Duplo covering an age range of two to eight. January will see the launch of a Lego Duplo first, the pink brick. Based on requests from consumers Lego Duplo will be launching a tub of pink bricks, Duplo with bunny rabbits. There will also be additional SKUs in the collection, one of which encourages role play through baking. Also new in 2012 a brand new offering, designed to promote shape sorting. The new Fire Collection has a host of functions including lights and sound. Including a new Fire Station with garage, office and slide as well as the Fire Chief. The Zoo collection is being extended with new sets and play elements from vehicles to animals. With different entry price points there is a variety of products to choose from. The Lego Duplo Photo Safari features a combination of African animals within a complete play-set. The smaller sets include an Animal Clinic, Zoo Truck and Baby Zoo.

Following on from the launch of its myStyle craft kits in 2011, Interplay will make extensions to the brand that will let girls make, wear and share more jewellery creations.
One of the new additions is the Wire
Craft Rings, a kit to complement the Deluxe Charm Bracelets and Clay Bead Jewellery. With small pieces of wire and various add-on accessories, girls can design eight fashionable rings in their own style.
