COMMS VISION 10-12 NOVEMBER GLENEAGLES PREVIEW WELCOME TO CVC 2010

Welcome to Comms Vision 2010. The event takes place at a time of dramatic change in our industry and against a backdrop of economic uncertainty and Government austerity, yet the future is bright for the architects of Business Transformation, writes John Chapman, CVC Content Editor.

I

n such a period of upheaval Comms Vision gives delegates time to assess where the market is going, how their company needs to evolve while challenging and debating ideas with peers across the industry. The theme of this year’s event not only reflects all of these changes but addresses the biggest issue our customers, and we as an industry, face in the coming months and years ahead – Business Transformation.

From central Government down to the smallest companies there is a consensus of agreement on the need to change the way organisations operate by improving their business processes, procedures and controlling their expenditure. At the same time they need to be more agile and responsive to new market conditions and create an organisation that is dynamic and customer focused. To achieve these goals organisations know they will have to rely on new technology at the

heart of their operations and processes, not just as a support tool but as a catalyst for innovation and best practice.

During Comms Vision 2010 our sponsors in the Open Sessions will present and debate what is meant by Business Transformation, how communications technologies and services will be the catalyst for change and how that alters the dynamics of ICT channel partnerships. This year’s Open Sessions will take our sponsors out of their comfort zones, but they have all enthusiastically embraced the concept as they have been developing their offerings with Business Transformation at the heart of their discussions around strategy and the evolution of the market. The event is a great opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas which will stimulate much debate during the convention.

Much of that debate will take place in boardroom and one-to-one meetings

It takes Vision to be a leader

COMMS Vision, staged at the world famous Gleneagles Hotel, is now firmly established as the de facto thought leadership forum for the global ICT industry. Event Content Editor John Chapman stated: “The Comms Vision Convention has established itself as the must-event for CEOs and directors of channel companies. The feedback from delegates and vendors is astonishingly good with almost everyone saying that it is the best event they have attended.” For more info on CVC 2010 visit www.commsvision.com

Comms Vision 2010 is the pinnacle of channel events, and poised to set yet another new industry standard

as well as in the bar, however our final Open Session of the Convention also gives the channel an opportunity to address all the issues. We will pull together what has been discussed and have one of the delegates presenting on how they are going about transforming their own business to respond to these new market dynamics. On the panel for this session we will have a top level financier and all the other places filled by delegates. This will be a lively conclusion to the Open Sessions.

Comms Vision, however, is much more than an ideas workshop, it is foremost

an environment where business partnerships are formed and enhanced. The boardroom and one- to-one meetings are at the heart of the event allowing our sponsors to present their business propositions in a professional yet relaxed networking environment. It is during these sessions that the real business takes place and where delegates gain insight into the vision of sponsors and how a business partnership with them could benefit both parties.

The Comms Vision Convention, in the

magnificent surroundings of Gleneagles, has created a unique experience for

directors of the UK’s top communications channel companies. It allows them to open their minds to new opportunities and partnerships and gives them insights into the way the market is evolving. Most importantly it allows them to discuss ideas with their peers in the industry and test theories and business opportunities.

When evaluating the cost-effectiveness of a director’s time spent at an event, Comms Vision is consistently cited as the most productive in the ICT calendar. CVC 2010 is poised to be the pinnacle of events to date, setting yet another new standard. n
