SME UC Solution Winner: Charterhouse Voice & Data
Runners Up: Actimax, Outsourcery, Pink Telecom Charterhouse ‘s sophisticated IP Office UC solution gave top UK pollster YouGov the ability to handle increased workload during election polling and call recording meant methodologies could be proved if requested during the cauldron of a General Election build up. The award was presented to Charterhouse managing director Mark Brooks- Wadham by Jabra UK managing director Karsten H.Pedersen.

Enterprise UC Solution SME Mobile Solution Winner: Livvy’s.
Livvy’s migrated Milk Link’s mobile fleet to Windows Mobile devices, which enables integration with Microsoft Exchange Online Services (part of Microsoft BPOS), so users can access Outlook Email on their devices. Savings on landline expenditure are currently around £57,000. The award was presented to Livvy’s managing director Mark Bowman by David Plumb , head of SME Sales at Telefonica O2.
SME Vertical Solution Winner: STL
Runners Up: Anglia Business Solutions, GHM Communications, XL Networks STL helped the Mercedes GP Petronas Formula 1 team streamline its communications and save around £50,000 a year by installing a converged communication network with IP telephony that is used at head office and remotely by the race teams. The award was presented to STL managing director Brendon Cross by Samsung networks division general manager Paul Templeton.

In the past 18-months Azzurri has completely overhaul the ICT infrastructure at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust including fixed-line and mobile telecommunications and a local mobile phone infrastructure that functions even if the capital’s networks were shut down in a major terrorist incident like 7/7. The award was presented to Azzurri client director John Macmillan by Jabra UK
managing director Karsten H. Pedersen.

Enterprise Mobile Solution Winner: Britannic Technologies
Runners Up: Azzurri Communications, Spiritel Pyroban’s move to Britannic’s Total Business Plan has reduced monthly costs by as much as 40%. Britannic’s new statistical reporting tools afford the security specialist a full view of individual mobile call usage. The award was presented to Britannic sales and marketing director Jonathan Sharp by David Plumb, head of SME Sales at Telefonica O2.
Winner: South West Communications Group Runners Up: Azzurri, Pennine Telecom, Rainbow Telecom South West Communications Group designed and implemented a £2m ‘best of breed’ integrated solution for North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT), the fifth largest healthcare trust in the UK which is currently embarking on the construction of a new £500 million ‘super hospital’. The award was presented to South West Communications Group directors Tony Rowe and Sarah Flowers by Samsung networks division general manager Paul Templeton.
SEM Hosted Solution Winner: Outsourcery
Runners Up: Frontier Voice & Data, Leading Edge, Networks First. Outsourcery’s managed solution for winter gritting specialist Gritiit included Microsoft’s hosted Exchange 2007, hosted Dynamics CRM 4, hosted SharePoint and BlackBerry from Vodafone on a Total Business tariff. The solution has saved the business over £67,000. The award was presented to Outsourcery’s head of partner management by Matt Cantwell, devil incarnate at Demon Internet.

FMC/Wireless Solution Winner: Obsidian Telecoms Runners Up: Express Data, Silver Lining
Obsidian installed two GSM Gateways at the new £85 million Central Middlesex Hospital and Northwick Park and St. Mark’s Hospitals. On 99,000 minutes per month predicted savings to the taxpayer amount to £70,000 over two years. The award was presented to Obsidian operations director Adam Saint by David Plumb, head of SME Sales at Telefonica O2.

Runners Up: Exchange Communications, Telent A combination of Mitel call routing and reporting gave musical instrument distributor Normans the tools to manage its contact centre in real time and plan staffing levels more effectively. 360 also persuaded Normans to deploy Mitel 5330 IP phones with integrated Bluetooth DECT headsets. The award was presented to 360 Solutions directors Oliver and Sam Marsden by Samsung networks division general manager Paul Templeton.

A UK national voice and data network from Pinnacle allowed the BBC to broadcast sound around the world for the BBC’s coverage of the 2010 UK General Election; Pinnacle deployed its in-house VoIP platforms (“SIPswitch”), its own ADSL circuits and for connectivity, BT Wholesale. The award was presented to Pinnacle managing director Alan Bonner by Matt Cantwell, devil incarnate at Demon Internet.
