Service Provider of the Year Winner: Spitfire

Winner: Mitel
Runners Up: Aastra, LG Ericsson IPECS, IP Cortex Mitel and VMware were judged to have cracked the final frontier of voice telephony virtualisation. Mitel’s unified communications features run as virtual appliances on the VMware vSphere virtualization platform. The award was presented to Mitel managing director Graham Bevington by Spitfire sales director Tom Fellowes.
Voice/Convergence Distributor of the Year Winner: Comstor Runners Up: Micro-P, Nimans, Wick Hill
The Comstor Mentor Programme helps selected Cisco Partners accelerate their engagement, planning and revenue generation., Comstor has also opened up £9m of incremental credit lines to ensure resellers can keep the cash flowing when needed. The award was presented to Comstor Business Development Manager Phil Speed by Capstan marketing director Mike Smythe.
Internet Service Provider of the Year
Winner: Griffin
Runners Up: Eclipse, Entanet, Murphx In the last 12 months, Griffin has developed a new provisioning platform that handles the white label provisioning of every product it sells. On-line backup allows partners to up-sell to existing broadband customers with 20GB storage per user. The award was presented to Griffin marketing manager Cherie Everett by Outsourcery joint ceo Piers Linney.
Software Application Suite of the Year Winner: Avaya Runners Up: netEvidence, Oak, Tri-Line Avaya Aura is the industry’s first Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) based unified communications platform. The judges regarded the solution as unique in its ability to integrate disparate third-party networks and solutions and manage them centrally. The award was presented to Avaya UK managing director Lee Shorten and Aisling Mahony of Avaya EMEA channel marketing
by Spitfire sales director Tom Fellowes.
Mobile Distributor of the Year Runners Up: Data Select, Micro-P
Winner: Abzorb
The judges were impressed by the Abzorbplus+ Partner Programme which allows channel partners to create their own pricing models, thereby putting margin and profit management directly into the hands of the resellers themselves. The award was presented to Abzorb managing director Mike Walsh by Capstan marketing director Mike Smythe.
Fixed Line Carrier of the Year
Winner: Gamma
Runners Up: BT Wholesale, Opal, Openreach The accuracy of Gamma’s billing enables partners to get their bills produced promptly and makes the customer collection process much easier. Also bespoke reporting through the Gamma portal has enabled reseller partners to pick up fraud and misuse for end customers. The award was presented to Gamma CEO Bob Falconer by Outsourcery joint ceo Piers Linney.
Peripheral Product of the Year
Winner: Citel
Runners Up: Jabra, Plantronics Citel’s Portico TVA enables companies to get all the benefits of VoIP while keeping their existing cabling and handsets. This saves money and makes migration easier, with no end-user training or re-cabling required. The award was presented to Citel development manager Andrew Davies by Spitfire sales director Tom Fellowes.

Installer/Maintainer of the Year Winner: Comms-Care Runners Up: Juniper Bridge, Servassure CommsCare is a ‘channel only’ multi-vendor technology partner which demonstrated how it continually adapts its services and process to meet channel needs. In March 2010 Comms-Care obtained the prestigious ISO 2000 international quality standard. The award was presented to Comms -Care chairman Peter Lloyd and Marketing Manager Richard Eglon by Capstan marketing director Mike Smythe.
Mobile Carrier of the Year Runners Up: Orange, Vodafone
All O2 partner programmes set demanding qualifying criteria including excellent customer service and a true focus on delivering leading-edge solutions within the business market. As a result partners have reduced their churn to an amazing 8% across Partner Programmes. The award was presented to David Plumb , head of SME Sales at Telefonica O2, by Outsourcery joint ceo Piers Linney.
