Getting your aerobic workout in the gym.

During a recent “trip of a lifetime,” Greg DeHaven and his wife Ann spent some time in New Zealand, Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora. “T e experience in Bora Bora was way, way beyond our expectations,” writes Greg. “T e people accept you as family, reminding me remarkably of my mountain family at Mt. Hood Meadows in Oregon. Both the water and air fl uctuate gently between 82 and 88 degrees. Visibility underwater is several hundred feet, and all the water creatures don’t seem too impressed that a few humans visit them. Touching the dorsal fi n of a 9+ foot lemon shark 50 feet down remains one of the most powerful and memorable adrenalin rushes I’ve had.” Greg’s credentials (other than shark whisperer) include Level III Alpine and Level I Adaptive certifi cation, Children’s and Senior Specialist 2 certifi cates, and USSA Level 200 coach.
