Automotive, a division of Georg Fischer AG, Schaffhausen, Switzerland, announced they will place jointly owned GF Linamar LLC’s new aluminum diecasting facility in Mills River, North Carolina., U.S. GF Linamar LLC will provide large light metal high-


pressure die castings for powertrain, driveline and structural components for the North American market. Te business will invest more than $200 million in the


facility in two phases over the next seven years, adding 350 manufacturing jobs over the next five years. Production is expected to begin in the middle of 2017. “Tis will be our fourth plant in North Carolina, an area


where we have thrived thanks to a fantastic workforce and a great business environment,” said Linda Hasenfratz, CEO, Linamar. “It is rapidly becoming an important hub for us to serve our customers in the southern U.S., and North America overall.” “Te location is ideal for us, and we look forward to a

Dynacast Opens Plant in Mexico Գ建ցੋ墨֧՚ҷZYGIGT_*


Dynacast International, Charlotte, North Carolina, U.S., has opened a manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico. Te plant will be an extension of the 115,000-sq. ft. facil-


ity in Lake Forest, California, U.S. Secondary operations will be moved to Tijuana, which


will open space at Lake Forest. “Tis new initiative is a first for Dynacast in creating a Center of Excellence for secondary operations,” said Tinh Pho, general manager, Dynacast Lake Forest and Tijuana. “By utilizing the experienced management team in Lake Forest and employing a shelter service provider to operate and manage the Tijuana plant, the combined Lake Forest- Tijuana business model will be leaner and more competitive than ever before. “Tis has a tremendously favorable impact on our ability


to win new customers and grow existing partners. It’s a win- win for Dynacast and our partners.”
