very iconic piece of fine jewellery that has ever been created is very likely to have started life as a pencil sketch. A skilful design carefully
thought out by a designer who has been classically trained in their art, who knows how a piece of jewellery should be made so that it is perfectly balanced, it’s construction enables it to be worn with ease and above all it looks amazing. A piece of jewellery should not only look beautiful but also be a joy to the wearer and an object of admiration to others. Whilst this simply sums up exactly what makes a perfect piece of jewellery, to find a professional jewellery designer in an independent provincial retail jewellers is a rarity - this is not the case at Jonathan Lambert Fine Jewellers. Our managing director, Yasmin Moss, has a first class honours degree in fine jewellery from Central St Martins. Before deciding to settle in Suffolk she enjoyed a glittering career in jewellery design which included seven years as a designer for Garrard, the then Crown Jeweller in Regent Street, London. Yasmin has designed for royalty and global celebrities and her jewellery has graced the pages of magazines whilst being worn by her many famous clients. It is rare to find this level of talent outside of a top London jewellery store but the services that can be offered to clients by Jonathan Lambert Fine Jewellers are quite unique. As well as designing jewellery to sell in our delightful Sudbury store, Yasmin spends a lot of her time designing bespoke pieces for clients, either using their own gemstones or ones that have been sourced direct from our many contacts around the world. All the diamonds used in the jewellery commissioned from us come direct from Antwerp and are selected personally by Jonathan Lambert. Having spent his formative working life in the loose gemstone business in Germany and London he has extensive knowledge of sourcing and buying the best diamonds and coloured gemstones. Yasmin is available for design appointments in the Sudbury store, or if it is more convenient, we can easily come to you. Our talents do not end with fine jewellery, we have just been commissioned to design and make 120 silver spoons for a client in Cambridge and we are always happy to discuss any unusual commission that you have in mind.
