Winner Klima-Therm Hybrid Adiabatic Compact Dry Cooler T
he DMR-H is a new type of hybrid adiabatic dry cooler, designed in the form of a compact cylindrical module. It delivers a new level of energy effi ciency and application fl exibility thanks to several important innovations in components, design and control. Due to its cylindrical shape, the exchange surface of the microchannel heat exchanger is 50% greater than units with a traditional confi guration and the same footprint. In addition, due to its design, it draws air from all sides with a 360deg catchment. This enables it to be installed very close to walls and other permanent fi xtures, reducing the overall installation surface by up to 75%. It can be used as a single module or multi-plexed to create a compact array, providing high performance, high effi ciency cooling up to 2.3MW. It can also be deployed in a closed-circuit, through installation of another plate heat exchanger with a recirculating pump for even greater effi ciency. A single module can dissipate up to 112 kW (Delta T 5 air in – water out 25°C, for example) from a footprint of just 1.21sqm. Air fl ow into the unit enters the heat exchanger at the same speed over the entire surface, thanks to a special parabolic cone mounted within the module. This optimises the unit’s heat exchange performance by ensuring its entire capacity is used. A variable-fl ow rotating water pipe ensures water distribution within the adiabatic system is always proportional to the airfl ow velocity, thereby avoiding any waste of nebulised water.
