Ammonia Compressor Pack B

ITZER’s new ACP (Ammonia Compressor Pack) has been designed to meet the requirement for very high effi ciency cooling for industrial and large-scale commercial applications with a zero Global Warming

Potential (GWP) refrigerant. The modular range of high effi ciency packs has been enthusiastically received by end users and contractors in the UK, with some ground-breaking projects leading something of a global renaissance in use of ammonia. The packs off er exceptional part-load effi ciency, outstanding resilience – with a back-up compressor in the unlikely event of a failure, and rapid commissioning due to the plug-and-play design. ACP off ers factory- controlled conditions to ensure the highest standards of manufacturing for safety and leak tightness in the fi eld. The ammonia packs are based on high effi ciency, compact screw compressors, which result in a smaller footprint than equivalent-capacity reciprocating compressors. In addition to the inherent effi ciency of screw compressors, the speed of the lead compressor is controlled by an integrated variable speed drive, which signifi cantly increases part-load effi ciency and enables soft-start. Effi ciency can be further enhanced with the addition of an optional economiser module.

For the engineer, the design allows ready access to valves, sensors and connections for ease of installation and servicing, and the unit comes equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity and full Modbus integration. The design features controller and sensor redundancy to further improve reliability, while the stand-alone control panel has number cable-tree to assist installation.
