TRAINEE OF THE YEAR

Winner

Ryan Walton AC Solutions Group

R

yan takes responsibility and has a can-do attitude. From the outset Ryan has been keen to learn and develop as fast as possible, but also understands that by doing the smaller things right, he gives

his supervisors the confi dence to keep pushing him. He has always been one step ahead, having the tools ready for the engineer without being asked, for example. Now, having completed his level 2 and with his work experience Ryan is capable of a full quality installation by himself.

When Ryan is on projects he shows his company in the right light and gives the customer confi dence that, despite being relatively new to the industry, he is knowledgeable – which generates exceptional customer feedback. His fault fi nding is excellent, which is a great testament to his college and also his own thirst for learning. Ryan likes to work with the various engineers to pick up the diff erent ways they do things and question why they do it that way. Ryan has made himself available for weekend work and extended hours over busier times – he doesn’t want to let his colleagues down and has their full respect. He appreciates the knock on eff ect if we have to return to site if there is a problem or if the job runs over so he has a great attention to detail and works hard to ensure the job gets done even if it means working late. His work ethic is second to none and he’s also a genuinely nice guy.
