Danfoss


Danfoss has introduced a new series of semi- welded plate heat exchangers that have been specifi cally designed, crafted, and tested to fi t ammonia-based industrial refrigeration applications. The SW19-59 range of semi- welded plate heat exchangers adds one more option to Danfoss’ broad portfolio of industrial refrigeration solutions. This new line of semi-welded plate heat exchangers has been infused with Danfoss’ deep experience and expertise, and can help industrial refrigeration professionals achieve a safer, more energy effi cient operation.


Danfoss engineers have implemented several key improvements into the design of the SW19-59 range of semi-welded plate heat exchangers, making them ideal for industrial refrigeration applications.


First, a new plate design delivers excellent heat transfer capabilities. The SW19-59 range features improved thermal performance due to optimised plate geometry, supporting high turbulent fl ow, enabling a compact design and supporting lower charge.


Secondly, a new gasket system improves plate pack stability. Operational safety is essential in ammonia applications, and this new gasket ensures high gasket stability and optimal plate alignment due to new gasket and gasket grove design, enabling easy and fast service and maintenance. The new design improves the sealing eff ect and prevents gasket blow out. The risk of contamination is reduced due to the double gasket barrier that will drain potential leakages outside of the plate pack. The new system is glue-free.


The SW19-59 range is also easy to service and maintain. Technicians have quick access to the plate pack with the non- corrosive nylon roller that makes it easy to slide the follower along the carrying bar. Assembly of the plate heat exchanger is fast and safe thanks to fi xed bolt heads and lock bushes which prevent the nut and bolt head from rotating when opening and closing the unit. The enhanced gasket system ensures easy and precise plate pack alignment.


The Danfoss semi-welded plate heat exchanger design has been verifi ed through thermal and mechanical tests. Furthermore, each semi-welded plate cassette and fully assembled plate heat exchanger are thoroughly leak-tested with helium before leaving the Danfoss factory.

CIAT


CIAT has introduced a new range of split air conditioning systems based on R32. The comprehensive range includes air conditioning systems for domestic and light commercial applications, high-wall splits, fl oor-mounted consoles, under-


ceiling units, cassettes, ducted units, plus a range of multi-split outdoor condensing units. Previous models running on R410A will be phased out and replaced by R32 systems.

Conex Bänninger


Conex Bänninger has extended its >B< MaxiPro product range as demand for the fl ame-free acr press system continues to grow. The new fi ttings include three types of long coupler, copper fl are joints available with brass and stainless nuts, a range of copper fl are washers in diff erent sizes, and a suction line P-trap. A 100 ml bottle of press fi tting lubricant has also been added.


Dan Wild, UK business unit director, said: “Every week we are training more engineers who see the benefi ts of using this innovative product as a quicker-to-fi t, reliable alternative to traditional brazing. With the initial >B< MaxiPro range proving to be so popular it was only natural that we would extend the range.”


The >B< MaxiPro was developed for use in acr applications. It is designed to be used up to a maximum operating pressure of 48 bar, with a maximum operating temperature range of -40°C to 121°C. It features a three-point press, with one press each side of the bead and one compressing the O-ring, for a permanent, leak-free joint. When professionally installed by a trained and certifi ed >B< MaxiPro installer, the fi ttings are covered by a fi ve-year extended guarantee.
