Alpha Wholesale has announced that it is a distributior for the new Conex Bänninger braze free solution, the >B< MaxiPro system. This will end the lack of press-fi t technology for air conditioning and refrigeration engineers.
The >B< MaxiPro is a quick and simple to install press system, providing a secure and permanent leak-free joint. Alpha Wholesale HVAC has stock available and delivers nationwide. Conex Bänninger’s >B< MaxiPro benefi ts from a 3-point press, with one on each side of the bead and one compressing the high- quality O-ring.
The HNBR O-ring has been specially formulated to operate in the temperature range of -40°C to 140°C. This technology, combined with the hook on each fi tting, provides a permanent and secure joint.
Fittings come with a one year guarantee as standard, but if you have carried out the requisite training, then this will extend to fi ve years. In addition to this, It also comes with a wide range of certifi ed approvals.

The video highlights Aircell’s benefi ts for grocery retailers. Advantages include energy savings of over 30%, tighter temperature bands and reduced chilled air spillage. Aircell achieves these goals without the need for physical barriers such as hinged or sliding doors. Aircell works by dividing the refrigerated display case’s merchandising envelope into separate air fl ow managed cells with low pressure air columns. Each cell has its own air curtain. The net result is less pressure on the air curtain of each cell and a large reduction in cold air spillage. Aircell does not require back panel fl ow, so it does not over cool food. The main benefi ts of the Aircell system are reduced energy consumption, tighter operating temperatures for improved food quality and the tempering of ‘cold aisle syndrome’.

Aggreko has launched its new variable speed chiller that operates from 100% to just 10% capacity, giving customers the fl exibility to save fuel and operating costs while helping the environment.
The new 700 kW air-cooled screw chiller delivers energy efficiency and takes up less space onsite. Its cooling capacity ranges from -15°C to +21°C.
The chiller is fitted with Aggreko’s ARM technology, which relays data in real-time, 24/7, to technical experts at the Remote Operating Centre (ROC), who can diagnose problems, remotely fix issues, proactively prevent failures and maintain energy consumption and operating efficiency. It was designed to support applications across industries including comfort cooling and commercial and process applications, such as data centre temperature control and food and beverage production and storage.

A-Gas has unveiled a new recovery service to help engineers and end users. Rapid Recovery is now available to UK customers and makes refrigerant recovery quicker and easier. It was launched in the US and A-Gas bought
the company last year.
A-Gas managing director John Ormerod said: “Rapid Recovery is a bespoke, F-Gas compliant recovery service with recovery rates approximately ten times faster than traditional units. The main benefi t to contractors is that they can outsource this work to a specialist in the fi eld of recovery.
“A-Gas Rapid Recovery brings cylinders to the job. The portable equipment is independent of services like power, with 200ft hoses to reach RAC units wherever they are.”
A-Gas Rapid Recovery has a UK network of recovery vehicles and engineers to give contractors national coverage. The taskforce will go onsite at short notice, handling recovery work of all sizes. Rapid Recovery provides services to industries including refrigeration, HVAC, demolition and marine. The team will take care of all aspects of the job, including hazardous waste documentation.
