28.1 Introduction 1.
The construction, operation and decommissioning phases of the proposed East Anglia THREE project have the potential to affect the labour markets around potential deployment ports or base ports used for operation and maintenance. The offshore and onshore elements also have the potential to affect tourism in coastal areas, as well as in the vicinity of the onshore electrical transmission works.

This Preliminary Environmental Information (PEI) chapter includes a socio-economic and tourism policy review and baseline profile.
This chapter also includes an impact assessment of the tourism and recreation impacts, as well as a socio-economic impact assessment of the onshore construction elements of the proposed East Anglia THREE project. An impact assessment of the offshore construction elements of the proposed project will be undertaken and reported in the East Anglia THREE Environmental Statement (ES).
