Healthcare Estates Multi-disciplinary architectural and design expertise

One Creative Environments (One) is an award-winning independent Midlands and London-based integrated, multi- disciplinary design company offering in-house masterplanning, architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, building services, structural and civil engineering, and BIM services. Established in 1975 as an architectural firm, the practice evolved into a collaborative design company that encompasses all design disciplines. The

Screenless UCV canopy on show

Medical Air Technology (MAT) will showcase its new screenless ultraclean ventilation (UCV) canopy. The fully HTM 03-01-compliant

DYNAMIC incorporates and advances MAT’s unique ECO-flow technology to provide ‘unsurpassed performance, energy efficiency, and whole-life cost savings.’ Its screenless design, which allows for more clear space at ceiling level, ensures maximum versatility to accommodate other operating theatre equipment without compromising operating efficiency, reportedly making it the ideal choice for hybrid and integrated theatres.

As well as learning more about the

ECO-flow DYNAMIC, visitors to the MAT stand will have the opportunity to experience an MAT ultraclean theatre ‘from an entirely new perspective’. Steve

Stott, MD, Medical Air, said: “Designing and installing a successful turnkey operating theatre solution isn’t child’s play, but we have something on the stand that could bring out the child in you.”

On the Static Systems stand, alongside learning about the company’s full range of nurse call, bedhead services trunking, fire alarm, and mental health solutions, visitors will be able to sign up for a free trial of ‘Noti-fi’, an ‘easy retrofit solution to help manage patient safety’. Director of Marketing, Phil Wade, said: “Noti-fi allows clients with legacy systems

to easily fit a solution utilising wireless technology to connect a range of peripheral devices. We will be demonstrating the system connected to a pressure mat, and offering clients the opportunity to sign up for a free trial, but numbers are limited, so make a visit to our stand first on your list.” Static Systems reportedly offers ‘the most comprehensive range of IP nurse call solutions available’. Stand visitors will be able to ‘discuss and review the options’ – from Aspire SmartSync – ‘a wireless system offering all the benefits of nurse call with familiar design and operation’, to Ultima, which utilises industry standard Power over Ethernet infrastructure and wiring. “Whether it be part of a new-build, ward refurbishment, or technology refresh, our philosophy is to be in a position to recommend the best solution to match requirements and budget,” Phil Wade explained. “Our full range of IP solutions puts us in a unique position to do that.”

practice said: “We can offer clients the flexibility of either separate discipline design solutions, or provide a ‘one-stop shop’ solution as an integrated design team. This tailored service ensures that we can adapt solutions quickly to our clients’ needs, simplifying the delivery process, while ensuring that quality, cost, and timescale expectations are exceeded.” ‘One’ says it has delivered £507 m of capital projects in the last five years alone, two recent examples being the multi-

award-winning St. Catherine’s Health Centre in Birkenhead, and the new Birmingham Dental Hospital recently opened by the Queen.

Furniture with flair

Cacade Monos – a new range of patient bedside lockers, ‘Adeo’ bench seating, and ‘innovative seating collections for high-risk security environments’, will be among items exhibited by Teal Furniture. Also shown will be ‘Astra

Quantum+’, designed and developed for West London Mental Health NHS Trust and installed at both St Bernard’s Hopsital and Broadmoor Hospital – ‘a highly durable, extremely robust, armchair and sofa collection’. “Astra Quantum+ not only features pleasing contemporary styling, but is also a fully featured chair with sealed upholstery, with no areas for concealment or protruding corners, and additional weighting options to protect both patients and carers,” explained sales director, Chris Watson. The versatile Roku tub chair – recently supplied for 136 bedrooms at the University Hospital Llandough Adult Mental Health Unit in Wales – will also be displayed. Astra Quantum and Roku are among the featured products in the company’s new 96-page ‘Solutions for challenging environments brochure’, downloadable at www.teal.co.uk/downloads. Teal will also show ‘Visio’ – ‘a television cabinet for challenging environments’, with an unobtrusive shape, stylish, shaped, anti-ligature profile, polycarbonate screen, and lockable access panel.
