RETAIL & DAYTIME CLEANING

from about 1,500m². Compact step-on scrubber driers are ideal for cleaning in awkward or hard-to-reach areas, where high manoeuvrability is required. These machines have a very small turning circle and can be transported from one floor to another in a passenger lift. Smaller surfaces must be cleaned manually, while the same also applies to stairs.

The use of diamond pads has shown to be particularly effective for cleaning polished natural stone floors as no cleaning agents are used. In this way, there is no chemical residue or marks. Diamond cleaning pads are used together with a disc scrubber head, whereby micro polishing particles keep floors looking shiny.

It is practical to use microfibre rollers for fine stone tiles as the microfibres reach deep into the porous surface of the floor and pick up the dirt. The high rotational speed causes the dirt to fall off the rollers so that they do not have to be changed during the cleaning process. A surfactant-free cleaning agent that prevents lasting protection against resoiling is recommended.

Designer Flooring In Shops: From

Wooden Floors To Carpets Wooden floors create a warm, pleasant atmosphere. However, there is one important cleaning rule: moisture must not remain on wood as this causes it to swell and deform. Consequently, the machine must be adjusted to a low, adequate water volume. The working speed must also be adjusted to prevent excessive contact with the cleaning solution. A surfactant-free cleaning agent that does not reduce the surface tension is recommended. For wooden floors with an exposed grain pattern, it is practical to use a soft roller brush that removes ingrained dirt without damaging the material. For dry cleaning, it is recommended to use dust-collecting cloths or a step-on vacuum cleaner for large surfaces.

In addition to creating a warm atmosphere, carpets are slip-resistant and sound-damping. An upright brush-type vacuum cleaner should be used daily to keep carpets clean. The electrically operated brush works together with the suction power to

remove the mechanically anchored dirt from the fibres and raises the pile.

The encapsulation process is recommended for intermediate cleaning as floors are dry immediately compared to wet deep cleaning. The cleaning solution is applied with a thin spray mist and subsequently worked into the carpet using a machine. Whilst drying, the cleaning solution encapsulates the dirt, which crystallises. Carpets are dry in next to no time (depending on the degree of aeration and moisture, around 20 minutes). Carpets should subsequently be thoroughly vacuumed with an upright brush-type vacuum cleaner.

For Clean Escalators Escalators or moving walkways are an important means of transport in virtually all shopping centres. To remove stubborn dirt such as spilt drinks or food, wet cleaning is necessary. Soiling such as chewing gum or small stones should previously be removed manually with a scraper.

The escalator cleaning machine has guide combs that reach into the profile grooves of the escalator, seal the surface towards the suction channel and thus generate the necessary vacuum for suction. Suitable combs are available for all standard escalator brands. To prevent damage to the metal, only cleaning agents approved by the manufacturer for this specific purpose must be used.

Toilets And Washrooms: A

Demanding Cleaning Environment The large number of visitors makes it necessary to clean toilets and washrooms several times a day. Floors in toilets and washrooms are mainly fine stone tiles with the necessary slip resistance. This makes cleaning a particular challenge, as manual wiping often does not suffice. Instead, a very compact scrubber drier with a narrow roller scrubber head is ideal for achieving the required cleaning result. These reach under toilets, urinals and sinks and enable hard-to-reach areas to be thoroughly cleaned. An acidic everyday cleaner is recommended.
