WINNER: JLT Re


This was a full category this year, with 14 companies contesting it—the same as in 2014. JLT Re came first for the second year running with a score of 145, based on the methodology explained below. BMS took second place for the second year running, with a score of 115, while TigerRisk Partners came third again with a score


of 105. However, Holborn rose from fifth place in 2014 to fourth place this year with a score of 95, while Arthur J Gallagher jumped even


further, going from 10th place in 2014 (with a score of 35) to fifth place this year with a score of 85. Lockton rose a place to sixth with a score of 60, while Cooper Gay rose from 11th to seventh with a score of 45. Beach & Associates


rose one place to eighth with a score of 40, and Miller rose from 12th to ninth with a score of 35. Matrix Brokers lost the most ground, falling from fourth place in 2014 (with a score of 90) to 10th place this year with a score of


30. The remaining places were taken by RFIB (25), RK Harrison (25), Howden (20) and finally UIB, which was also last in 2014 and which saw its score drop from 10 in that year to 5 this year.

Companies were awarded points for their positioning in the prior relevant categories in which they featured: 50 for first place, 45 for second place, 40 for third, etc, down to tenth place. Companies that performed well in more categories had the chance to gain more points than those that did not feature in all.
