Best Reinsurance Fund WINNER: Nephila


Nephila Capital once again claimed the top spot in this category, with a score 6.88, giving it a substantial lead over Leadenhall, which climbed to second with its own score of 6.12, from the seventh place that it recorded in 2014. Third place is again taken by Aeolus, with a score of 5.93, followed by Twelve Capital, which has a score of 5.77 but which has


dropped two places since last year. Fermat Capital Management climbs a ranking to fifth with a score of 5.69, and CATCo drops two places to sixth with a score of 5.68.


AlphaCat also falls a place to seventh with a score of 5.67. The last three places in the rankings are made up by Blue Capital (5.51), Elementum (5.41) and Solidum Partners (5.31), all of which were in the same places in 2014.


Nephila Capital is a leading investment manager specialising in reinsurance risk and offers a broad range of investment products


focusing on instruments such as insurance-linked securities, catastrophe bonds, insurance swaps, and weather derivatives. The company was founded in 1997 in London as part of Willis, at the time the world’s third largest reinsurance broker. As part of its growth strategy, the company relocated to Bermuda in 1999 in order to establish a local presence and to deepen existing relationships in the world’s largest catastrophe reinsurance centre.
