Altmann Analytik, an international specialist for chromatography and laboratory equipment based in Munich, has redesigned its website and modernised
Analytics-Shop.com. In addition to a modern design, the website has numerous new functions for customers and can now also be visited by mobile devices.
After the Analytics-Shop went online more than six years ago, it was now extensively modernised. “We had particularly the results of our regular customer surveys in mind and accordingly facilitated the user guidance and usability of the shop,” said Aaron Gilljohann, Head of Marketing & E-Commerce. The shop can now be displayed on all screen sizes and devices. In addition, customers can now search individual categories and fi lter their search results within the categories as they like.
The products are now displayed more clearly and with larger images. In addition, visitors can see at a glance whether a product is available directly from stock. If they are interested in a product, customers can then use the notepad tool, which is included on each page. For further information, additional PDF documents are stored for many products, e.g. technical data sheets, catalogue pages, etc. The customers can quickly and easily fi nd their way through a selection of more than 200,000 products.

Preparative HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) continues to gain in importance as the purification method in the pharmaceutical industry. As regulatory requirements increase, higher purity levels have to be met. HPLC is the method of choice to achieve these goals. Therefore, process-scale HPLC applications are, in many cases, becoming a necessity.
Thermal Desorption: New Autosampler System
The all-new Thermal Desorption Autosampler from CDS supplied by Analytix provides a robust solution to automated TD tube analysis by GC/GCMS and is compatible with all industry standard TD tubes from 3.5” - 7”. Uniquely the CDS 7500s does not require peltier or cryogenic cooling and utilises pre-heated trap technology providing improved chromatography with better handling of wet samples for a streamlined and more reliable transfer of analytes onto the column.
As with all CDS thermal sampling products, the quick-connect, high temperature transfer line allows users to easily interface with all manufacturers and models of GC. The easy to use intuitive control software works in tandem alongside any GC control system.
All heated zones can operate up to 350oC that ensures even less volatile compounds can be analysed. Applications include EPA 325, TO-1 and TO-17, emission testing, thermal extraction of PCBs/PAHs, and occupational exposure monitoring.
Key features include: No cryogenic or peltier cooling, 72 sample capacity, robust pick and place XYZ autosampler, auto leak checking, and high temperature heated transfer line up to 350oC between system and GC.
