The English Choir Easter Concert
The English Choir of Teulada and Moraira are pictured outside Teulada Alzheimer's Day Centre before going inside to entertain, what turned out to be, a very welcoming audience who thoroughly enjoyed
the choirs diverse programme. The concert was compered by Lorna Salgo in both English and Spanish. The first number was a lustily sung Easter Bonnet Parade followed by a sequence
from Fiddler on the Roof and excerpts from My Fair Lady. There were many other popular numbers but the one which gave the audience the most amusement was the male chorus' rendering of Offenbach's Gendarme Song. The choir ended the entertainment with the swingy, rhythmic Chanson d'Amour amid much applause and requests that the choir return again soon, which of course they promised to do. The choir's next public appearance will be on Thursday 20th April at Moraira's Parish Church at 7pm. Entitled Easter Parade the concert will contain excerpts from Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Most Happy Fella. The battle of Jericho and much, much more. Entrance is by programme costing 5€ and available from Janet Brown on 96 574 5091 or email
janetbrowncraft@gmail.com. For further information about the choir please visit their website
www.theenglishchoirteulada.com or their Facebook page.
